Manufacturing Day 2016 was a success!
Thank you to all those who joined us for our MFG Day Open House.
In celebration of Manufacturing Day 2016, we opened our doors on October 5 to over 60 students, educators, parents and community members showing them the outstanding opportunities in manufacturing.

The event was hosted in collaboration with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Manufacturing Industry Partnership (SWPA-MIP), featuring programs such as MANUFACTURING 2000 (M2K), Southwestern Pennsylvania BotsIQ, and the National Tooling and Machining Association Apprenticeship Program.

Activities included live demonstrations from our M2K students and BotsIQ, as well as facility tours.

Manufacturing Day is an annual national event executed at the local level and supported by thousands of manufacturers through open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.

Just because MFG Day is over does not mean you can't still plan a tour at our Training Innovation Center! All interested organizations or individuals can contact Amy Kent, Training Team Member, at [email protected] or 412-258-6624.

Thank you to Kennametal Foundation & Gene Haas Foundation for their generous donations.
The Gene Haas Foundation and the Kennametal Foundation each donated $10,000 to New Century Careers for our MANUFACTURING 2000 (M2K) Quick-Train pre-apprenticeship machinist training program.  A formal check presentation took place at our Training Innovation Center October 5th during the MFG Day open house. The funds raised will be used to train qualified high school graduates and GED completers ages 18 and older interested in manufacturing careers.
