Happy October, Casper,

First off, thank you to all of you who joined us at our Quarterly Breakfast last week. We had a wonderful time coming together as a member community to:

Hear from our guest speaker Trudi Holthouse of Wyo Sports Ranch. We always knew that this one-of-a-kind facility would be extraordinarily economically impactful, but, it turns out, we couldn't even begin to fathom the positive impact the Ranch would have on our community and Wyoming's kids at large. Wyo Sports Ranch is bound to spur just as much investment as inspiration in the area, and we're looking forward to watching youth sports find a home out West!
Learn more about our combined efforts with Fly Casper Alliance. The truth is that it's not so much about the folks that are leaving, but more about the business and opportunity that is arriving. & that's why we actively work to preserve local air service, support the management and board of Casper-Natrona County International Airport (C/NCIA) and serve the pilot training program at Casper College.
Introduce the new application for secondary VC fund. This fund will write bigger checks for companies, keeping them in Wyoming and growing our economy as opposed to leaving the state in search of Venture Capital.

These are the main projects that we've been invested in while we continue to hold conversations with interested businesses outside of Casper who are looking for a new start in a new location.

Finally, we have 4 board seats opening up for elections in Jan. 2024. If anyone is interested in running, please get in touch with me!

NEW & NOTEWORTHY IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

1. HF Sinclair Celebrates 100 Year Anniversary

Put your hands together for HF Sinclair Refinery as they just celebrated 100 years in Casper! Sinclair has not only always been a pillar in the local Wyoming economy and a leader in the industry, but the organization never fails to put their community first. We are honored to revel in this milestone as they continue to have a revolutionary impact in our city and beyond. 2. David Street Station Brings Back the Outdoor Ice Rink

Our festive neighbors just announced that the David Street Station outdoor ice rink will be open to the public once again this winter. From endless holiday events and tree gatherings to spontaneous skates with friends and family, we're looking forward to the buzz in Downtown Casper after a year off the ice. Hours and more information coming soon!

3. Mountain West Technologies Has a New Home

Our Advance Casper Member has a new home here in Casper! In late August Mountain West moved into 851 Werner Ct, Suite 100 on the North side of the city where they are enjoying expansion in all aspects.

4. Construction Begins on Casper Mountain Trails Center

If you've been chasing down fall colors on Casper Mountain recently you've likely seen closures and construction break on the new Casper Trails Center/ Nordic Ski Lodge. With modern amenities, parking lot additions, and a floor plan that spans 4,000 square feet; the Lodge is destined to become much more than a hub for winter recreation, but events, corporate gatherings and so much more. Coming January 2025!

5. Three Crowns Golf Club's "The Refinery" Now Open!

The Refinery, Three Crowns' newly renovated bar & restaurant, is now open to guests and the Casper community. From sweeping views and a stunning space to an authentically refined menu, The Refinery is Wyoming's newest destination for an elevated indoor/outdoor dining experience! The Casper Area Chamber of Commerce and Advance Casper are proud to host the fall Business to Business Expo on Thursday, October 19th 5pm - 7pm at the Ford Wyoming Center.

307 Horse Racing

Here at Advance Casper we are economic development that is business driven and community inspired. We know that our efforts are only as strong as our members. & that's why we choose to showcase the revolutionary impact you have on: business, the local economy, our community and beyond.

This month we sat down with 307 Horse Racing & The Derby Club Gaming Parlors to gain insight into how live horse racing and betting are not only catching like wildfire in the state of Wyoming, but are driving economic prosperity in Casper and beyond:

"307 Horse Racing was founded in 2019 by longtime Wyoming natives, ranchers, and horsemen, the Greer family. The Greers saw what the industry looked like with out of state operators and decided to get in the game the Wyoming way so that the landscape looked more like what the legislation was intended for.

In two years 307 Horse Racing & The Derby Club Gaming Parlors went from zero locations to a little over 1/3 of the statewide market share with Derby Parlors sweeping the last true frontier. Our live horse races allow us the opportunity to open Derby Clubs, which are best in class venues committed to providing excellent customer service. Our locations offer simulcasting and electronic games (historic horse racing machines) locals and visitors alike love to play. We have several restaurants servicing delicious food and two discount liquor stores as well.

Based in Casper our organization drives awareness, advocacy, and education around the importance of keeping funds local to help support and strengthen the Wyoming economy. We also have deep roots in Wyoming that support our local communities and families which help advance the state’s economic interest.

We have one additional Casper location that will be open in early 2024."
