GSS Partners with Fastenaktion for Multi-Year Seed Sovereignty Project

We are thrilled to announce our newest partnership with Fastenkation for our project, Community Stewardship, Education, and Empowerment for Seed Sovereignty (Community SEEDS Project)!


This means our programs will be working under a substantial multi-year partnership with Fastenaktion, securing an annual funding of over $51,000 USD (Php 3M). This milestone not only ensures the continuation of our vital programs but also marks a significant step in bolstering our resource-building initiatives to sustain our operations in the Philippines.

Seeding the Future: Ensuring Excellence at Bogo Seed Production Site

We recently advanced our mission of preserving agricultural heritage with the "Seeding the Future" program at the Bogo Seed Production Site in Cebu. Our team conducted a comprehensive seed inventory to ensure seed quality, monitor quantities, and optimize resource allocation. Despite the challenges of intense heat and time-consuming physical verification, our team produced detailed reports identifying surpluses, shortages, and equipment status.

Growing Seed Sovereignty: Building a Stronger Community in Nueva Vizcaya

Our Community Learning and Awareness on Seed Sovereignty (CLASS) program in Nueva Vizcaya focused on empowering local farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture. Facilitated by Ding Fuellos, the event gathered the Nueva Vizcaya Seed Savers in Christine Village, Solano, to discuss our mission and deepen their understanding of seed sovereignty. We addressed their dependence on seed companies and pesticides, proposing practical steps for integrating organic practices into their farming methods. This initiative aims to foster resilience and self-reliance, encouraging farmers to begin their journey towards sustainable agriculture.
