August is here, it seems that summer just started, and now it is coming to an end.

The Thayer County Fair

is Aug. 11 - 14th.

Many area fairs have

already taken place.

Wishing good luck and saying congratulations

to all our local 4-H members.

Lots of things going on as we wrap up summer and look forward to fall. It's time to start thinking about

quilting and sewing projects for the fall holidays!

We're planning something big this fall,

we will be hosting a

Fabric Collage Retreat taught

by Cathy Kaufman, Fabric Artist

from Pieceful Artwork Studio in Gering, NE.

Cathy is a certified Laura Heine Collage Instructor.

We are concerned with the movement of the Delta variant into the area. For this reason, we recommend everyone wear a mask and social distance while shopping.

We are excited to announce that our building will be getting a facelift! We're doing some remodeling on the exterior, to bring back a historical look to the building. Construction should begin in the next couple weeks. The sidewalk and an entrance may be barricaded, so please be careful. This is a photo that we are using for inspiration. We'll share some photos in the next issue.

We had a great turnout for the Life's a Picnic Shop Hop in July! We look forward to seeing you all again soon! Heartland will host a "Sledding into Winter" hop in January 2022.
