In January's newsletter, DG Linda Morrow asked you to share some of your New Year Resolutions. Here are some of them:
- Strive to collect more feedback from members to make the club the best for all members
- I resolve to keep laughing, serving and making a difference because Rotary works best when we enjoy the ride.
- I resolve to remember why I joined Rotary in the first place: Service Above Self - plus some good fellowship with some really solid people.
-
1. Exercise (no, for real) 2. Just do it! There are many trips and activities I have talked about but have not done for many reasons. This year…just do it. 3. Re-engage with some of my civic organizations/boards I am involved in. 4. Overall – reset my life and focus.
-
Try to remember to lift each other up by recognizing personal and professional accomplishments of our members.
The winner of last months prize is: Anthony Lauri, from the
Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club

Rotary creates environments of peace
As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of our mission. We believe when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.
By carrying out service projects and supporting peace fellowships and scholarships, our members take action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.
Our commitment to peacebuilding today answers new challenges: how we can make the greatest possible impact and how we can achieve our vision of lasting change. We are approaching the concept of peace with greater cohesion and inclusivity, broadening the scope of what we mean by peacebuilding, and finding more ways for people to get involved.
