RECOMMENDED READING

Faithful Christian community does not happen automatically. It grows through intentional relationships, steady commitment, and ordinary faithfulness.

The two articles below offer helpful reflections on how believers can cultivate deeper friendships and lasting connections.

Learning to Be a “Friendtor”

Many believers long for deeper friendships but struggle to move beyond casual connection. This article explores the idea of being a “friendtor”—someone who combines genuine friendship with spiritual encouragement and guidance. Rather than separating friendship from discipleship, Christians are called to invest personally in others, helping them grow in Christ through ordinary conversations, shared life, and mutual encouragement.

Want Connection? Try Commitment

Many people say they want a deeper connection in the church, yet meaningful fellowship rarely happens without effort. This article argues that lasting relationships are built through intentional commitment and shared investment. Christian community requires inconvenience, sacrifice, and persistence. But when believers choose to prioritize fellowship, the result is richer relationships and a stronger church family.
