The ISTAT Foundation is once again offering stipend support to interns placed through the ISTAT Career Center to fund qualified relocation travel and housing expenses incurred during the internship. Announcing the 2025 ISTAT Foundation Grant Recipients

This year, the ISTAT Foundation awarded nearly US$165,000 to 19 aviation-focused organizations, including museums, student associations and educational institutions, to support their missions and strengthen their futures through inspiration and education. Additionally, the ISTAT Foundation proudly granted US$95,000 to 14 organizations to support their global humanitarian efforts. View the full list of recipients.

ISTAT Appraising: An Introduction at ISTAT EMEA

As part of ISTAT EMEA, the ISTAT Appraisers Program (IAP) will again offer ISTAT Appraising – An Introduction, designed for anyone looking to learn about the practice of appraising and the value of appraisals. This event will take place on Sunday, 5 October, from 15:30 - 17:00 at the Hilton Prague.

This year’s complimentary session, hosted by two ISTAT Certified Senior Appraisers, features an inside look at the ISTAT Appraisers Program, aircraft appraisal fundamentals and steps to becoming an ISTAT Certified Appraiser. The session will also address commonly asked questions about appraisals for those who use them. Come along to learn about the IAP.

IAP Continuing Education

In conjunction with ISTAT EMEA, the IAP Continuing Education (ConEd) Session is scheduled to start at 13:00 on Sunday, 5 October, at the Hilton Prague. The session will also be accessible via Zoom and recorded. Attendance is limited to members of the IAP, the IBG and invited presenters for the session.

The topics to be covered will include:

• An ethics briefing from Paul Briggs of Aviation & Aerospace Direct with Nick Stable (Wings Capital) 
• Discussion about the widebody aircraft market and global macro trends with Bruce Dankberg from Altavair
• Appraisers’ roundtable discussions, prepared by Olga Razzhivina from Oriel

The IAP will hold a full round of exams in mid-October for 12 IAP members. We wish them all well as they prepare for their assessments.
