The Summer Issue of Jetrader includes an appraisal article on the Airbus A320neo by Amit Kumar Tyagi, ISTAT Certified Senior Appraiser and chief intelligence officer at Acumen Aviation.

“According to Airbus’ February Order and Delivery report, the A320neo has garnered 4,124 orders, with 1,929 aircraft delivered and a backlog of 2,195 aircraft. This high demand and the lengthy waiting period of seven to eight years underscore the market’s strong appetite for advanced technology. Several factors have contributed to the increased demand for these newer variants. Enhanced fuel efficiency and environmental performance drive this demand, aligning with the industry’s focus on sustainability. The A320neo offers operational flexibility and fleet commonality, enhancing versatility and cost-effectiveness for airlines.”

ISTAT Foundation Awards US$80,000 Grant to Airlink

The ISTAT Foundation is proud to award US$80,000 in grant funding to Airlink Inc. as part of the ISTAT Foundation’s Grant Program. The ISTAT Foundation founded Airlink in the aftermath of the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake and has contributed more than US$2 million in support of its initiatives to date. Industry Leaders Give Back on the Greens

Thank you to all the golfers who attended the fifth annual Dublin Golf Tournament at the Grange Golf Club on Thursday, 19 September. We are proud to share that the ISTAT Foundation raised US$35,000 that will be used to invest in the future of the aviation industry through scholarships, grants, education and mentorship opportunities. ISTAT Appraising: An Introduction at ISTAT EMEA

As part of ISTAT EMEA, the ISTAT Appraisers Program (IAP) will again offer ISTAT Appraising – An Introduction for those interested in the practice of appraising or those interested in learning more about appraisals and what they mean. This event will take place on Sunday, 22 September, from 15:30 - 17:00 at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti.

This year's complimentary session, hosted by two ISTAT Certified Senior Appraisers, features an inside look at the ISTAT Appraisers Program, aircraft appraisal fundamentals and steps to becoming an ISTAT Certified Appraiser. The session will also address commonly asked questions about appraisals for those who use them. Come along to learn about the IAP.

IAP Continuing Education

In conjunction with ISTAT EMEA, the IAP ConEd Session is scheduled to start at 13:00 on Sunday, 22 September, at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti. The session will also be accessible via Zoom and recorded. Attendance is limited to members of the IAP, the IBG and invited presenters for the session.

The topics to be covered will include:

• Current trends impacting our industry - macro environment, geopolitics and escalation. Presented by Peter Negline (IAP Executive Director)
• Engine valuation challenges in the current environment. Panel discussion with Steve Boecker (Delta TechOps) Roger Welaratne (SMBC Aero Engines), and Karl Trowbridge (Royal Aero). Moderated by David Rushe (Magellan)
• Investor's view on the OEMs. Presented by Doug Harned (Bernstein)
• Appraisers’ Roundtable Discussions. Prepared by Olga Razzhivina (Oriel)
