The Winter Issue of Jetrader is Now Available

The cover of the Winter Issue of Jetrader features the recipients of two of ISTAT’s awards. Pyka, the recipient of the inaugural ISTAT Sustainability Award, is revolutionizing aviation with its fully electric, autonomous aircraft designed for crop dusting and cargo logistics, proving that sustainability and innovation can redefine the future of flight. Aviation Week Network’s DEI Council received the ISTAT DEI Award at this year’s ISTAT EMEA event for its advocacy of DEI practices, helping to develop those practices, resources and tools, and mentoring colleagues seeking to contribute to DEI efforts.

Also in this issue is a Q&A with Andrew Levy, founder, chairman and CEO of Avelo Airlines. We spoke with Levy about how he views the overall health of the industry, how Avelo Airlines came about and what sets it apart from others.

ISTAT Foundation Leadership Update

We’re pleased to announce that Guilherme Lopes, current executive director of ISTAT, has also assumed the role of executive director of the ISTAT Foundation. Gui replaces Janet Huynh who is moving on to other opportunities. Gui’s leadership across both ISTAT and ISTAT Foundation will provide a cohesive and strategic alignment between the two groups, ensuring advancement of each organization’s mission.

Viktor joins the ranks of ISTAT Certified Appraisers, having completed the certification process in October. With this new addition, active IAP membership now stands at:

• Five ISTAT Certified Senior Appraisers, Fellow
• 26 ISTAT Certified Senior Appraisers; 70 ISTAT Certified Appraisers
• 39 Appraiser Candidates

The IAP Exam Committee has confirmed the next round of exams will be held 6-8 May 2025. IAP members seeking to complete exams must register no later than 6 February. Full appraisal reports should be submitted by mid-January.
