Chandler Industries

Chandler Industries is excited for the opening of their new facility in Wyoming, Minnesota!

Chandler Industries is a contract manufacturer of precision machined and fabricated sheet metal components and assemblies with four divisions in Minnesota and one in Chihuahua, Mexico. Chandler serves customers within the Aerospace, Defense, Industrial, Medical, Electronic Connector and other markets who are seeking a manufacturing partner capable of producing highly specified machining, fabrication, and assemblies.

The new facility, located at 5273 273^rd Street, Wyoming, Minnesota is larger than their previous facility located in Lindstrom. This larger space will offer superior workflow and an efficient layout with ample space for additional capacity and future growth.

They have been very fortunate to add new members to their team, however, they are currently hiring skilled CNC Operators and Machinists for all shifts, including weekends. Chandler promotes a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and development.

New Lindstrom City Administrator!

Daniel Undem came to the City of Lindstrom from the City of Forest Lake as their Assistant City Administrator and brings over twenty years of public and private sector experience. Undem has a Master’s Degree in business administration from St. Mary’s University, and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Dan and his family live in the Chisago Lakes area.

Recently Dan met with the Chisago County HRA-EDA to discuss programs to help economic development within Lindstrom and the county. Programs like the Industrial Forgivable Loan, TIF and Tax Abatement and Small Business Development Center - Central Lakes College (clcmn.edu) are popular as they are financial and technical benefits that can entice a business to call Chisago County home.

Located within Chisago County on the outskirts of North Branch, the Sno Baron's Snowmobile Club Hay Days is the world's largest snowmobile and ATV event. This busy weekend is filled with drag races, sled and ATV dealers, a swap meet, raffles, and much more.

The Chisago County HRA-EDA has been partnering with the cities to visit with local businesses and collect important data. The main goals of business retention visits are to provide assistance with issues that could force a company to fail or close, and to prevent companies from relocating to a new community.

The main goal is to help businesses grow! A successful BRE program also provides data and intelligence to strategically attract new companies to a community and foster the creation of new businesses.
