...or should we say over?

Congratulations Minnco on purchasing your new and improved building!

Minnco purchased the bank located on 10th Ave and Hwy 95 previously owned by Stearns Bank. Although they only moved a couple blocks away from their previous building, they are now able to grow in the new space.

Ground-breaking for Boka Haven!

Help us to welcome Boka Haven to the county. They have begun building a 40-unit assisted living facility located on 386th St in North Branch (across 95 from County Market). This project is projected to be completed in July 2024.

The HRA-EDA was able to assist Boka Haven in making connections with financial resources to get their project off the ground.

We sure have been busy talking about Chisago County!

The Chisago County HRA-EDA attended the annual MNCAR Expo on Wednesday, October 25th! It was a full house with a max capacity for booth exhibits and over 700 attendees. We were able to visit with some old friends and make a lot of new connections all while promoting Chisago County as the place to start, relocate or grow a business!

Popular event conversations revolved around the following topics:

The Chisago County HRA-EDA also attended the Real Estate Journal Industrial Real Estate Conference. This was exciting as we had our own Executive Director, Nancy Hoffman, present on a panel with her peers. Nancy was able to boast about the HRA-EDA's in-house programs and the available industrial parks located throughout the county. This event was a full house as well, displaying the interest in industrial development and hopefully producing some projects in the future.

Another Small Business goes into the North Branch Mall.

Kaitlyn O'Connor is the founder/owner of the Warm & Wooly Yarn Shop that has just recently opened up in North Branch. She has a long history in working with fibers and education, so naturally they would intermingle and bring her where she is today.

Hosting a Lenders Breakfast

In partnership with the MBFC, the Chisago County HRA-EDA hosted a lenders breakfast for financial institutions that work with businesses in the Chisago County. There were several speakers present to discuss financial options for businesses to ensure lenders are in-the-know. This conversation is held around businesses looking for financial support, whether they are just opening their doors, expanding their space, looking to relocate or any other projects related to financial needs.

Speakers included: Kathy Lindo, MN Small Business Development Center; Dan Bullert, Initiative Foundation; Nancy Hoffman, Chisago County HRA-EDA; Jordan Zeller, East Central Regional Development Commission and additional information provided by MN DEED.
