Lindstrom Housing Development Uses PACE to Reduce Utility Costs.

Rosehill Senior Living is an 87-unit senior care housing development that broke ground in the City of Lindstrom. As the city desires additional housing developments, the city backed the project with the use of Tax Increment Financing. The developers, Rosehill Properties LLC, also took advantage of the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program. This incentive provides funding for the development to include clean energy solutions to the facility therefor providing cost savings over time which will pay off the PACE loan and save utility costs into the future. The payments are paid as an assessment on the property taxes. Chisago County has a joint powers agreement with the St. Paul Port Authority to provide PACE financing for new and existing developments. Please contact the HRA-EDA for more information about the PACE program or learn more about PACE at https://www.sppa.com/portfinancing/minnpace
