Is Getting A New Look!

This beautiful site is located in charming, historic downtown Taylors Falls. Having full municipal utilities in place makes this commercial site a no-brainer! The City of Taylors Falls is considering a new concept plan for the site. It will allow for three development sites, municipal parking and a grassy area for community events. The city is open to offers on this land and have finance incentive programs available. It is 1.6 acres, located downtown and only 50 miles north of the Twin Cities.

Chisago County HRA - EDA
Housing Trust Fund
The Chisago County Board of Commissioners adopted an ordinance putting a Housing Trust Fund, created by the HRA-EDA, into existence. Chisago County is the fourth county in Minnesota to have such a financial tool available.  The tool assists housing developers to build workforce housing.  Chisago County’s vacancy rate for workforce/affordable housing is a low 2% throughout much of the county. This type of housing is needed to provide housing for young adults as well as those seeking jobs in the county. You can find the Chisago County Comprehensive Housing Analysis HERE.
Please contact the HRA-EDA if you are interested in learning more about the Housing Trust Fund.

New Electric Charging Station in North Branch

The North Branch Water and Light held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 17 for installing an electric vehicle charging station that charges at a much faster rate than many existing chargers. The charger is located at 38830 Forest Blvd. The event was sponsored by the North Branch Area Chamber of Commerce. A group took part in a ceremony showing support for the new charging station the city hopes will attract visitors from surrounding areas. The charger costs $5 in a connection fee and 30 cents for every minute of charge. Water and Light general manager Scott Hautala said, "The convenience part of the charging station is that is invites people to enjoy the North Branch downtown restaurants. People who drive electric vehicles can now visit downtown, leave their vehicles charging faster nearby while they go shopping."
