Week #4

The Students Time to Shine!

Another educational tool used at the Manufacturing Month Event on October 9th was a game show (Jeopardy) hosted by Della Ludwig, Workforce Strategy Consultant at MN DEED. Six students were chosen out of the 170 that passed through the event to be a contestant going head-to-head with other school districts in this competition. The students had been prepped that they needed to pay attention to any handouts, the business panel presentation and the proclamation as all the questions would be relating to them. Students enjoyed friendly competition and the comradery of their peers and working together to obtain the prize of early release to lunch.

Sponsors Donated Gifts at the Chisago County Career Exploration Event:

Our manufacturing businesses were very generous when asked to bring something to the Career Exploration Event to raffle to the students!

Students at the Career Exploration Event were given a small note card with "ice-breaker" questions to ask the manufacturing businesses that were posted throughout the event floor. After completing all the questions the students were able to drop their card into a drawing for one of these incredible prizes!
