Lindstrom Fire Hall is taking shape!

The city land where the old cement tip-up wall manufacturing plant used to sit, will house the new Lindstrom fire hall. This project is well underway and expected to be operational in December of this year.
Many people commute out of Chisago County for work, but look how many Blue Collar workers commute into the County for work!

New funds allocated to help East Central Regional businesses!

The East Central Regional Development Commission submitted an application to the EDA’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) for consideration of a three-year Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Grant in February 2022. In March 2022, we received word and a congratulatory message from Senator Tina Smith’s office that the Commission was awarded $400,000 to support expanded services for entrepreneurs in the region. This new RLF will support a broader business development strategy which seeks to stimulate business development among historically underserved populations, such as people of color, people with disabilities, women, and veterans.

30th Annual St. Croix Valley Pottery Tour!

The Annual St Croix Valley Pottery Tour and Sale welcomes visitors on Mothers’ Day weekend to seven pottery studios in Chisago County. Each studio/pottery is just a short drive from the others allowing some or all to be visited in a single day. Distinguished guest potters, host potters, and pottery appreciators will gather in person again on May 6, 7, 8, 2022.
