DG Nick Krayacich announces the results of the 2027-2028 DGND elections:


Therese Maggioncalda of the Passport to Service Rotary Club has been selected by majority vote of the clubs in the district to fulfill this position.


Therese is celebrating her 10tth year in Rotary, joining in January 2015. She is the current President of the Passport to Service Club. She is the current District 6400 Learning Lead for 2025-2026 Presidents-Elect. Therese has chaired or co-chaired district Peace and Service committees and was Program Chair for the District Conference in 2024. She is currently Co-Chair of the Taking Action for Peace committee, a Tri District Rotary committee. Therese enjoys membership in Rotary Action Groups. She is very active in the Rotary Action Group for Peace and Operation Pollination a collaborator of the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group.

Rotary leaders from all around District 6400 gathered for the annual District Assembly at St. Clair College in Windsor last month to learn about new strategies for "Growing Rotary" and improving their clubs.

Huron Township Rotary's Daddy-Daughter Dance! Great turn out and so much fun!

Dearborn Heights Rotary "Many hands make light work" was the unofficial motto of the day at Bedford Elementary School this morning. Rotarians and friends gathered for the first of two bookcase building and book bag stuffing events as part of their annual spring literacy drive.

Members of the Rotary Club LaSalle-Centennial and friends were happy to help ERCA with the Spring Sandwich litter cleanup. About fifty volunteers removed 1,825lbs or 825kg of litter/refuse. Funding for this initiative was provided by the Gordie Howe Community Benefits Plan.

Huron Townships Congratulations to Rotarian Dave Haener on his 1st Paul Harris and to Rotarian Rod Hopper on his 8th, presented by Rotarian Jerry Burke.

Windsor-WIDE Togetherfest!

Dearborn Heights Rotary Club will be making 30 young readers at Daly Elementary very happy when they get back to school. They'll have their own personalized bookcases and bags filled with books!

Last month, Southgate Rotary had a very successful "Shred Day" event to help prevent identity theft.

Members of the Windsor-St. Clair assembled 50 Mom/baby kits for their April service project focused on maternal health. The recipient organization for this initiative was Our Lady of Guadalupe Home.


The Windsor Walkerville Rotary Speakeasy Soirée was a tremendous success, as they turned back time to the roaring 1920s in the heart of historic Walkerville’s Distillery District!

Rotary Mission to Ghana, Africa

 

Does your bucket list include travelling internationally on a Rotary humanitarian mission trip?

Thanks to the Rotary Club of Tecumseh Lakeshore, you can soon check off that box! We are looking for volunteers to join our mission team heading to Ghana, Africa October 1 – 17. The team will travel, each at their own expense, to work on several projects including renovating a school, providing care in a medical clinic, fitting and distributing eyeglasses, drilling freshwater wells, distributing mosquito nets, and providing backpacks, uniforms & textbooks to 500 school children.
