Weekly Cornerstone Blog
on the New City Catechism

In an effort to make our year through the New City Catechism as fruitful and helpful as possible, some of our pastors and elders are writing a weekly blog to provide additional insights and explanation on the question for that week.

It includes the question and answer, the kids' answer, the accompanying memory verse, additional verses to consider on that question, some commentary on life application, and a connection to our church's statement of faith.

New City Catechism

4 Helpful Resources

We are pleased to announce several new resources we are offering to help ground us in some of the foundations of our faith - for adults and children: The New City Catechism.

FLIP BOOK:   $5.00
This is a spiral-bound flip book that includes the 52 questions and answers including a shortened kid's answer along with the Scripture reference.
Includes the 52 questions and answers including the highlighted kid's answer along with the Scripture written out.
A weekly devotional includes the 52 questions and answers, relevant Scripture reading, a short prayer, and devotional commentary written by contemporary pastors and historical figures.
Web and Mobile app are available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices (free at or on the associated app stores). The app pairs each question and answer with a Scripture reading, a short prayer, and a devotional commentary written by contemporary and historical figures. The app also includes kid-friendly songs designed to help children memorize the entire catechism.

Stop by the resource table at the rear of the Worship Center to see which resources are best for you.  The NCC is also online at
Our Mission

Our mission as a church is very simple and it comes directly from Jesus. Jesus gave the Church her mission in the "Great Commission" in Matthew 28:19-20. It defines why we exist as a church:

To glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ

Worth pondering

"Preaching that makes a church Christ-like under grace takes a double miracle: the sinful preacher must be shaped by grace to preach; and sinful listeners must be awakened by grace to listen together week by week in humble expectancy. Only God can do this. So praying before the sermon is not a formality. Unless God works, the whole thing will be a waste of time.
