OUR SEL WORK HIGHLIGHTED AT NATIONAL SUMMIT
Congratulations to Project Manager, Vanessa Stafford, and Quality Advisor, Shana Washington, who represented Dallas Afterschool at a national conference on social-emotional learning last month. Our team led a dynamic workshop session on Building Connections Across Stakeholders at the 2021 SEL Vision Summit. Their presentation provided key insights and actionable practices on relationship building, social-emotional learning strategy and implementation, as well as student data utilization for greater outcomes.

Way to go, team!
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO
Christina K. Hanger
June is here and our team is busy providing partners with the tools and resources needed to re-open programs and keep students engaged this summer. These programs get kids excited about learning, which is exactly what is needed right now to help students catch up and keep up after a year of unfinished learning.

Thank you for helping us ensure every child in Dallas has the opportunity to succeed. We couldn't do this important work without you!
STUDENTS STILL NEED YOUR HELP THIS SUMMER!
This year, more than ever, we must help combat COVID learning slide for students and provide a safe and supportive learning environment. It's not too late to help! From social-emotional "Calm Kits" to literacy supplies, you can still make a difference for students this summer!
TEAMING UP TO MAKE WONDER KITS® AVAILABLE TO MORE STUDENTS THIS SUMMER
This summer, Dallas Afterschool is teaming up with the Perot Museum of Nature and Science to make our Wonder Kits® hands-on activities available to more students. By deploying over 600 kits to the museum's Tech Truck science-on-wheels outreach program, we will be impacting an additional 15,000 students this summer by inspiring curiosity and sparking interest in science and future STEM careers. From renewable energy to bridge-building, we are thrilled to offer these fun and engaging activities to students throughout Dallas.
