Ephesians 2:11-22

One in Christ

11 So then, remember that at one time you Gentiles by birth, called ‘the uncircumcision’ by those who are called ‘the circumcision’—a physical circumcision made in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both groups into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us. 15 He has abolished the law with its commandments and ordinances, so that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace, 16 and might reconcile both groups to God in one body through the cross, thus putting to death that hostility through it. 17 So he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near; 18 for through him both of us have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, 20 built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. 21 In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; 22 in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.

BOOK CLUB

The Book Club will meet September 25 at 1pm in Common Ground. We will discuss THE CHILBURY LADIES CHOIR by Jennifer Ryan. Connie will lead.



Pat will lead October 23–THE PERSONAL LIBRARIAN by Marie Benedict.

No book discussion in November. Rather, we will meet Nov 13 at 1pm in Room 304 to select books for 2026!

Sign up for a shift at the Pumpkin Patch this year!

Check your calendars! The 15^th year of the patch starts Saturday 9/27 at 9AM with the unloading. After that we need volunteers to man the patch and to meet our community! It’s not hard work (no physical labor) just greet our customers and take payments.

The shifts during the weekdays at the patch are relatively slow, so bring a friend and hang out for a relaxing time. The weekends are a bit busier, and you get to greet lots of customers both first timers and long timers.

Shifts are 3 hours long everyday – 10AM to 1PM, 1PM to 4PM, & 4PM to 7PM.



Running the patch is simple and we can coordinate any training or answer any questions after church on Sunday.

Note we have a new Credit Card Terminal for processing payments this year! Technology simplified!

The Book Sale is almost here!

Just a couple of points of interest: 

Set-up starts Tuesday, Oct 7 at 8 am. This is come and go at your convenience. We are lucky you are able to come. Thank You!!!!

The set-up will continue Wednesday and Thursday.

There also will be flags and outdoor signs to put up on Thursday in front,(Johnson Drive side) and in the back.

The boxes of books are heavy so be very careful.
