Your News & Updates
Dear Tabor Village Family and Friends:

Visitation is in full swing here across the Village and I think it's safe to say that our hearts are full and our joy is great! So very happy to have you all back into our Village.
Visitation Reminders
1.When booking your visit, you may have noticed the times are in 30/15 minute slots, however, this is NOT the length of time available for your visit. The 30/15 minutes is only referring to the time we expect you to arrive. You can stay as long as you would like - in other words, we do NOT have any cut off time for visits, we just need to know when visitors will be arriving.

2.Please ensure you are arriving on time for your visit. Having visitors arrive 45 minutes early or late can cause scheduling issues for us. While there are very few restrictions around visitation, we still have to keep a tight schedule when it comes to screening procedures.

3.While 2 adults and 1 child are permitted to visit at the same time, all 3 visitors must be from within the same household. This is part of the guidelines set out by Public Health and we need to respect them.
Recreational Therapy Update
Tabor Court Update
Our Easter celebrations are still going strong over here. Why stop when you're having fun?

Another big milestone happened this week - we're finally able to enjoy meals together again at the same table! So much to be thankful for this week, but most of all, we're just grateful for this incredible community.
Valhaven Update
Our highlight of the month is welcoming family and friends back into our home. Check out our activities calendar below to see more of what we're up to.
Tabor Home Update
We've been keeping busy with art therapy, devotions, BINGO, walks outside, and of course lots of visits with family and friends.

We've already started planning for our Therapeutic Gardening season and can't wait to get outside more as the weather gets warmer.
Do Your Part & Get Vaccinated
We won't sugar-coat this because we know the difference vaccination makes. If you have the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, we strongly urge you to grab hold of that privilege and do your part to protect yourself, your family, your loved one(s) in care and their neighbours.

As elated as we are to have our doors open to family and friends again, it also makes us susceptible to potential outbreaks. While we are praying for protection over our Village, it's important for you to know that in the event of an outbreak, all visits will stop immediately as mandated by Public Health. There is far greater risk with refusing the vaccine than we like to admit, but it's pivotal that we acknowledge the risks so we understand why the vaccine is such an important step to take.

To be clear, the desire for everyone to be vaccinated is NOT solely the desire of Tabor Village leadership, it is also the desire of residents and families who have expressed their own concerns with those who have yet to be vaccinated.

Simply put, do your part, get the vaccine, and protect this Village and our greater community.
Changes Coming To Communications
We'll be changing things up with our communications. I, Bethany, have resigned from my position at Tabor Village as Communications and Events Coordinator as I am moving on to a new opportunity elsewhere. With my last day being next Friday, April 16th, that will also be the last time you'll receive a weekly e-newsletter from us.

However, Tabor Village will continue to connect with you via e-newsletters, just on a monthly basis instead of weekly to make things a little easier on the team in this transition.

Given how much has changed and with the loosening of restrictions, we feel a monthly e-newsletter will work well moving forward. If there are any urgent updates that arise during the month, an additional e-newsletter will be shared with you to communicate any significant changes.

It's been a pleasure serving the older adults of Tabor Village and getting to know all of you. If you have any questions or concerns about the change in communications, I am available until April 16th. Otherwise, you are welcome to reach out to one of the following:
