Milestones in NCC's 20-year history
New Century Careers' MANUFACTURING 2000 (M2K) program was included in the July 2014 Report, introduced by Vice President Joe Biden: "Ready to Work: Job-Driven Training and American Opportunity." Read more about NCC's contribution on page 8 and 29.

This report outlines the steps the Administration had taken to grow the economy and the American middle class.
MANUFACTURING 2000 (M2K)

Classes are FREE to qualified students and will be offered in three locations:

  • McKeesport Machinist Quick Train - Daylight Classes

M2K Spotlight
Before joining the M2K program, Stefan was working at a grocery store. While in high school, he attended Steel Center for Career and Technical Education and learned welding. Stefan thought the program would be a great fit for him given his welding background.

“I always liked making things and using tools… I would make a lot of things with my dad,” Stefan said. “This program taught me the fundamentals of machining. I enjoyed training on both the manual and CNC machines. The instructors were great and very helpful.”

Stefan accepted a CNC machinist position at a local company in April. He looks forward to growing his machining and welding skills.
