After spending two years at a four-year university, financial issues forced
Isaiah
to leave. He was working temporary jobs and realized he needed more career satisfaction.
“I was looking for something I could see myself doing in the future and doing well. After researching trade careers, I was referred to New Century Careers and it felt like a great fit,” Isaiah said. He started the program in April 2018 and gained more than 600 hours of training.
“New Century Careers prepared me for the workforce. It gave me entry-level training to get started in this field and get my foot in the door,” Isaiah said. “New Century Careers does an excellent job at being flexible and working with people of different backgrounds.”
Isaiah accepted a machinist position at a local company in December and
hopes to further develop his CNC skills on the job and through apprenticeship.
