M2K Spotlight
Geoff earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Carlow University and previously lived in China for a year teaching English. When he arrived back in the states, Geoff explored options to advance his education and training.

He learned about NCC after reading a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article on the M2K program and newly launched Job Shop. With his strong math background and interest in metrology, he thought the program would be a great opportunity.

“New Century Careers prepared me in many ways for the workforce,” Geoff said. “The program has given me everything I need to get my foot in the door and start working as a machinist. The instructors were very helpful and I’m grateful for this experience.”

Geoff accepted a machinist position at a local company in March.
NCC Acquires CRC SW-23 Parts Cleaner
This past month, Gary DelCotto of CRC Industries visited New Century Careers. Gary helped set up a new SW-23 parts cleaner and presented a training course to instructors and M2K trainees on the safe operation and product features. The addition of a parts cleaner enables trainees working on M2K projects and NIMS credentials - as well as Job Shop personnel - to safely clean all manufactured parts.

Thank you Gary for your assistance!
