Dear amazing TBS Religious School families,

Yesterday, our fourth graders made sensory Chanukkah cards. These cards will be distributed to blind and low vision Jews by the JBI Library. As our fourth graders are studying Jewish values this year, they were enthusiastic about putting action to Kehillah (community), B'Tzelem Elohim (we're all made in God's image), and Tzedek (justice). We did this last year and heard back that the cards were received and greatly appreciated.

This past Sunday, our Kindergarten students designed their own yarmulkes (they're drying now, and should go home next Sunday). Our first graders studied the letter gimmel and learned the meaning of the phrase "Boker Tov." Second graders worked on the challah covers as part of the Shabbat boxes. The third grade added Noah's Ark to their ongoing Torah panel project. Fourth grade made Hanukkah cards (see above!). The fifth grade began preparing to lead a prayer at the upcoming fifth grade class dinner and Shabbat (RSVP here). Our sixth graders learned about Kings Saul, David, and Solomon.

Tomorrow, November 3rd is election day! You can check your registration and locate your polling place with the Board of Elections tool, and you can view your local ballot at Vote411.
