SERMON SERIES

Count Me In is our upcoming sermon series about stewardship, generosity, and choosing to be part of what God is doing. Instead of talking about money as an obligation, we’ll explore it as an invitation. Each week asks a simple but powerful question: Why give? Why give to the church? Why give now? Together we’ll look at how giving shapes our faith, fuels God’s work in our community, and responds to the moment we’re living in. This series is about more than budgets—it’s about trust, purpose, and saying to God, “Count me in.”

Grades 9-13 July 5-10th

The cost is $495 per person. We are asking each family to contribute at least $100 per child toward tuition and to help us raise the remainder. If you agree to this, go to this website to register them: https://www.glenlake.org/summercamp and on the payment line, click pay by check.

Mark your calendars for February 22nd to participate in the Chili Cook Off. All families must work the event and provide a chili for judging. If we do not raise enough to cover the cost of camp for all participants, we will plan another fundraiser.

The Ulster Project Belfast, after 50 years, has made the difficult decision to no longer participate in sending Northern Irish teens to the United States. They have faced many of the same challenges that we have locally over the last several years. Before we say goodbye to the project, we do want to celebrate all of our families, volunteers, donors, and everyone who contributed to the last 31 years of Ulster Project Arlington. We are in the process of planning a closing ecumenical worship service and celebration party. SAVE THE DATE JULY 10th! More information to come very soon. Please plan to come and celebrate Ulster, reconnect with old friends, make new friends and have a great time. It will be wonderful to have our large Ulster family together again.

Youth

Sunday Night

6:00pm | FLC

This Sunday, our annual Super Bowl party. Bring food to share and play slap dodgeball, ping pong, Tetris topple tower and hang out with us. The party will be from 6:00 until the game ends. During halftime we have the most epic battle of the sexes in our oldest youth tradition dating back to the 80's, our cake baking contest.

If your student is helping to decorate the cakes, girls will be at the Akins' house and the boys will be at the Strayhorn house, both on Sunday.

Sunday School

9:30am F-217/218

This Sunday, we are starting to read through the book of Acts.

Mid-week Activities

All of our weekly mid-week activities are back THIS WEEK! NBA Cafe dinner is every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30. The youth Bible study is from 6:30-7:00 where we're spending the semester debating over different Bible topics. Our Modern worship service will follow at 7:00 pm.

Feeding Frenzy

Every Thursday, we have a great group of volunteers who cook a home-made lunch for the upperclassmen at Martin High School. This week we are having our American menu with hamburgers and hotdogs.

Young Adult Bible Study

Our young adult Bible Study starts back this week for any students 18-25. This semester, we'll be discussing books that were "banned from the Bible" using the History channel's special, Banned from the Bible. We meet Thursday from 7:00-8:00 pm in room F215.

Winter Camp

Every winter, Glen Lake Camp hosts Winter Camp, which is a 3-day retreat for students in grades 6-12. Winter Camp is more than just a weekend retreat; it's time apart. A chance for you and your students to step away from the everyday, be together at camp, and experience Christ in a fresh, meaningful way.

Your group will grow as a community through:

Small groups

Passion-filled worship

Inspiring, dynamic speakers

We handle the details so you can focus on what really matters: connecting with your students and making memories that last.

We are going weekend #2, which is February 20-22. The church covers a portion of the cost, so each student pays $100. When you register your student make sure you check the "pay by personal check" option and pay the church either by check, cash, or online.

Mission Trip 2026

SAVE THE DATE!!! This year we're going to Stillwater, OK June 14-20. Make sure to put the dates on your calendar. Our first fundraiser is starting in a few weeks.
