Sympathy to Julie Vann and family on death of her sister, Caroline Gnann, who died January 28th.
Sympathy to the family of Glaen Richards, our church member, who died on January 29th. His funeral will take place at 10am at IOHUMC on Thursday, February 2nd.
God, Lord of all creation, lover of life and of everything, please help us to love in our very small way what You love infinitely and everywhere. We thank You that we can offer just this one prayer and that will be more than enough, because in reality everything and everyone is connected, and nothing stands alone. To pray for one part is really to pray for the whole, and so we do. Help us each day to stand for love, for healing, for the good, for the diverse unity of the Body of Christ and all creation, because we know this is what You desire: as Jesus prayed, that all may be one. We offer our prayer together with all the holy names of God, we offer our prayer together with Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Pastor on Call (February 3rd-5th)
Rev. Sam Paul - (478) 787-8696

Upcoming Town Hall Meetings
This fall, the Church Council entered a time of discernment around Isle of Hope United Methodist Church’s future relationship with the United Methodist denomination. Council and staff offered identical Town Hall meetings where church members could review basic information and ask questions about what lies ahead if our church remains in the UMC or chooses to disaffiliate. A recording of the meeting from Sunday, January 22nd can be found below.
The Superintendent has set our Church Conference date to vote on remaining or disaffiliating for Monday, February 13, at 6:30 pm. Please note the adjusted time. Church members may begin arriving at 5:45 pm to check in and receive their ballot. Every full church member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church who is present is eligible to vote. Per Annual Conference policy, there is no absentee, early, or proxy voting. A disaffiliation vote requires a two-thirds majority of members present.
Childcare for children 0 years-5th grade will be provided by reservation for the voting session.

Prayer Ministry
As Christians, we recognize that prayer is vital. In Luke 19:46, Jesus says, “My house will be a house of prayer.”
Here are three ways you can enrich your prayer life:
Prayer Chain: This ministry consists of over 50 church members who are dedicated to praying when a need is expressed. To become a member of this team, or to submit a prayer concern, contact Gray Curlee (912) 355-8171, or grayc56@gmail.com.
Prayer Team: A team of two church members is available each week to pray with you in the Tabby House Prayer Room immediately after services on Sunday mornings. You may pray alone or ask one or both team members to pray with you.
Wednesday Night Vespers: The Tabby House Prayer Room hosts a group at 5pm each Wednesday, beginning with a short devotion that leads into prayer for those who wish to pray silently or aloud. Prayer concerns are raised for intercessory prayer. Currently we are focusing on discernment and God’s guidance for our church. We urge you to join us.
