Join us this Sunday as we gather in worship to give thanks for the gift of freedom and to reflect on our calling as people of faith within the life of our nation. Through scripture, prayer, and music—including offerings from our choir—we will explore the ways God forms us into a community rooted in grace, committed to justice, and united in hope.

This service offers a meaningful opportunity to honor our shared life as citizens, while remembering the deeper foundation of our life together in Christ.

Good Dirt Week One: The Origins of Community

Sunday, July 5 at 10:30 am | Ministry Center

This Sunday marks the start of Good Dirt, our Adult Education Series focused on all things community.

Our first speaker is Dr. Amy Potter who will speak about the origins of community. Dr. Potter is a Professor of Geography at Georgia Southern University and the Director of the Honors Global Scholars Program.

Her work explores community geographies, tourism, and public memory. Her research focuses on both the American South and Ireland, where she spends six weeks each year leading students in a study abroad program. Amy has also worked with foster children in Chatham County for the last six years.

We hope to see you all there this Sunday for a delicious breakfast and what is sure to be a memorable talk!

The Wesley Community Center Food Pantry is a lifeline for many of our neighbors. Right now, they are currently in need of the following:

Canned Fruit
Peanut Butter
Rice

Donations can be placed in the collection cabinet located in the main hallway near the Sanctuary.

We kindly request no donations of canned vegetables at this time.

A Hymn Festival with Tom Trenney

Join us for a joyful afternoon of congregational singing as we welcome renowned musician Tom Trenney to lead a hymn festival filled with beloved tunes, creative interpretations, and vibrant musical offerings.

With combined choirs from across the community and the rich support of organ and instrumentalists, this service of song invites all to lift their voices in praise. As part of our yearlong celebration of our new organ, this festival highlights the instrument’s beauty and versatility, while celebrating the enduring power of hymnody as a shared expression of faith.

Daniel's Dangerous Dilemma Rehearsal

Sunday, July 5 at 10:30 am | Children's Choir Room

Rehearsals continue this Sunday for our summer musical, Daniel's Dangerous Dilemma! Kids ages 3 through Grade 5 should go to the Children's Choir Room instead of their normal Sunday School classroom and get ready to have a blast.

The performance will take place during worship on August 9.

Rehearsals are weekly during the summer, but children are not required to attend all rehearsals to perform.

The Church Office will be closed on Monday, July 6th, in observance of Saturday's 4th of July holiday.
