Stop by and see us during the Soul of 2nd Street Festival at Constitution Square on August 9 from 3-8 PM. The Story Center will offer an oral history station where you can record your history. The library's Outreach team will offer the family tent where you can play with the sensory bins, create art, or borrow from our Sweet Reads collection.

Sensory Kits now available

The library offers sensory kits for those who might be overwhelmed or uncomfortable during our programs or who might need similar support when they're away from the library.

These are some of the items you might find in the sensory kits, which are available both for use at the library and for checkout. The kits include noise-reducing earmuffs and various fidgets packaged in a clear drawstring bag.

Sensory kits are available for use during most library programs. Ask a staff member at the program for a kit, which must be returned immediately after the program. Kits also may be checked out for two weeks with a library card at our circulation desk. Just ask a circulation staff member for one.
