Culver-Stockton College Faculty Lead Statewide Effort to Reestablish Missouri Counseling Association

A team of Culver-Stockton College faculty members has led the successful reestablishment of the Missouri Counseling Association (MCA), marking a major achievement for Culver-Stockton College and the counseling profession statewide. The association, which dissolved during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been officially reinstated as a nonprofit state branch of the American Counseling Association. The newly elected officers—Dr. Angel Knoverek (President), Dr. Mark Vander Ley (Treasurer), and Danielle Hamilton, MA (Secretary)—are all Culver-Stockton College faculty members. Together, they bring extensive academic and clinical expertise to their leadership roles, and their efforts reflect the college’s deep commitment to community engagement and mental health advocacy. Keeping Momentum!

The women's lacrosse team placed four players on the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference team. In addition, Head Coach Caitlin Erickson was recognized as the Coach of the Year for the second time in her career, while Assistant Coach Madison Reed was named the Assistant Coach of the Year for the second straight year.

The women's track and field team claimed two event titles and registered 57 total points overall to place seventh in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, in Fayette, Mo.

The men's track and field team recorded 40 team points to finish in a tie for ninth place with Baker University at the 2025 Heart of America Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships May 2-3 in Fayette, Mo.

In addition to these great successes, two Wildcats on the baseball team and one softball Wildcat were named to the All-Heart conference teams for their respective sports. Our C-SC athletes have worked hard and we are proud of all of their accomplishments this academic year!

Welcome Clair Eaton

New Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations

We are pleased to announce that we have a new member on the Advancement and Alumni team! Clair Eaton, a Canton native, joins us after earning her Master's degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and working in the KC metro area at Park University. Clair joined our team in February and has brought great enthusiasm and energy, even jumping headfirst into planning this year's homecoming celebration, so make sure to join us October 24-26!

Planning Your Legacy

We are pleased to share a new feature on the Advancement pages of the Culver-Stockton College website. This resource offers valuable information about charitable giving options that can also help protect your financial future and support your family. But you don’t need to be actively planning your estate to benefit — the site offers free tools like the Estate Planning Guide and the No Cost Will Planner—both of which can be helpful at any stage of life. If you're a recent graduate starting your career, a young parent planning for your family’s future, or a retiree exploring ways to make a meaningful gift while preserving your assets, you’ll find resources tailored to your needs.

Distinguished Alumni Nominations are Open!

Now through May 30, you can submit your nominations for the various Distinguished Alumni Awards. Recipients will be honored during the Alumni Honors Banquet during Homecoming weekend. The banquet is set for Friday, October 24. Click here to submit your nominations!

Introducing the C-SC Experience Fund!

To provide essential funding that will enrich every aspect of the student's Culver-Stockton education, the C-SC Experience Fund has been established. Contributions to the C-SC Experience Fund provide resources for scholarships, innovative academic programs, support for student-athletes, the arts, campus improvements, and resources for experiential learning opportunities. Every gift, no matter the size, helps create opportunities for Culver-Stockton students and enriches their educational experience.

New Ways to Give

We are excited to announce that our giving platform now supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal donations! We hope that this added convenience will help in our continued efforts to support our Wildcats on their journeys to be bold, think big and create change!
