The need in our area has never been greater. According to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, they are providing for 40-45,000 people per month in the 8 county region that they cover, and that number is expected to continue to grow.
Red Door Agency will be collecting items for Second Harvest Food Bank at their office in Downtown Kingsport. From now until Friday, January 29, 2021, they will be accepting nonperishable, non expired items. Feel free to drop off your items anytime during their normal business hours of 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. No donation is too small, one can of food can make a difference.
The most needed items are:
- Cereal/Rice/Dried Beans
- Canned Tuna Fish/Meat
- Canned Soups
- Spaghetti Sauce/Pasta/Noodles
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Tomatoes/Veggies/Fruit
- Mac & Cheese
- Baby Food
- Diapers
