The Kingsport Farmers Market 2020 season is underway. But to be able to open and continue to operate this season, this won't be the market as usual. At the direction of the Sullivan County Regional Health Department, they are implementing new protocols for guests and vendors alike.

LAMPLIGHT THEATRE PRESENTS FOGGY VALLEY: A HOUSE DIVIDED - SEPTEMBER 4 - SEPTEMBER 20
The Foggy Valley comedy crew will be returning to the stage at LampLight Theatre in Downtown Kingsport once again. This favorite slapstick team will be performing their witty capers in their new production, 
"Foggy Valley: A House Divided" beginning the weekend of August 28th. 

It's election time in Foggy Valley and the Mayor's seat is up for grabs. The Goodin Family feels that there needs to be some changes made around town. Mama Goodin, of the Goodin Family Funeral Parlor, knows the perfect person for the job, herself! Unfortunately, her son, Spoolie Goodin, feels the same way about himself! Both have some unique ideas on how to improve the town and are determined to "bury" their opponent, even if they are family! Hilarious pandemonium is sure to ensue when the Goodin Family battles it out at the debate. But remember, a house divided cannot stand...

SYMPHONY OF THE MOUNTAINS: BRASS QUINTET CONCERTS - SEPTEMBER 12 & 13
Live music returns to the region this fall as Symphony of the Mountains launches a unique season. The Symphony Brass Quintet will present outdoor concerts!

  • September 12 at 6pm - Allandale Mansion, Kingsport, TN
  • September 13 at 3pm - Mountain Empire Community College Goodloe Center, Big Stone Gap, VA

Cost: Concerts are free of charge; patrons will gain admission by wearing a mask.

Attendees must heed state and local requirements. To further maximize safety the performances will have no intermission and there will be no printed programs.

Saturday attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic to the Allandale Amphitheater lawn. Chairs will also be available placed in clusters around the lawn to maintain physical distancing. Sunday attendees are requested to email pro-art@uvawise.edu or call 276-376-4520 to reserve a spot on the lawn. Both sites have back-up locations nearby in case of rain.
