GRANT SPOTLIGHT
SILVER TONGUE SATURDAYS
With a Community Arts Grant from the ACPC, Silver Tongue Saturdays is a monthly literary event hosted by Patricia Caspers, founding editor of the auburn-based literary journal, West Trestle Review. Each month, a poet, fiction writer, or memoirist is invited to read from new work. The reading is followed by a Q&A and open mic for the community. The reading is held in-person at the Auburn City Hall, streamed live on YouTube, and made available online in perpetuity.

Silver Tongue Saturdays adds to the rich art scene already thriving in Auburn by bringing in a literary element. It attracts new visitors to the Foothills, as it is the only Placer County event of its kind south of Truckee.
