Hello Craig,

By now everyone has received your 2024 membership renewal packet in the mail, although it might be in your stack of to do’s.

I am looking forward to everyone renewing for another year and hopefully we can have some additional members this year. By renewing, you can enjoy the benefits of being a member of the YMCA Alumni family including The CONNECTION from National, travel opportunities with the travel club with fellow Alumni and the Going Places newsletter, volunteer opportunities, quarterly newsletters from our chapter, and our chapter’s bi-annual gatherings.

We had a great time at our October Fall Gathering in Bandera, Texas, where we met new YMCA Alumni members and renewed friendships with fellow YMCA Alumni members.

A BIG Thank You to Kathleen and Durwood Owen for hosting our members for a fajita dinner at their beautiful ranch. Also thanks go out to Pam Power and Kathleen for organizing all of our activities and meals. Our auction raised over $1,500 which will be split between YMCA World Service and the YMCA Alumni National Service Project.

We elected new officers for our chapter starting January 1, 2024.

Treasurer -- Jim Heiman

Your new officers will need some help in other non-elected positions such as Newsletter Editor, Membership Chair, and other duties. If you would be interested in helping out please let our new president, Pam Power, know.

Thanks to all the officers for your service to our chapter these past two years. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your President.

We are planning our next gathering for Oklahoma City in April 2024. Please save the dates for this event. We will have some meals together and enjoy some of OKC’s sites. It is always fun to gather as fellow YMCA Alumni. Perhaps friends can be talking now about car-pooling if the distance seems too long for some to travel.
