Other ways to Participate

Collect Items for Midwest Mission

The Board of Global Ministries invites churches and individuals to contribute needed supplies for Midwest Mission in our Annual Conference Mission Challenge. Midwest Mission is in urgent need of supplies for Home Care Kits (cleaners, detergent, scrub brushes, 5-gallon buckets), Personal Dignity Kits (towels, hygiene items, gallon resealable bags), and adult bicycles. Your donations help provide essential care to those in crisis—please give generously! Collect the items and give them to your AC members to drop off on Monday and Tuesday of Annual Conference. Learn more.

Collect Money for the Bishop's Appeal to Support Innovative Outreach

Help spark faithful innovation in our conference by supporting this year’s Bishop’s Appeal for Innovative Outreach. Your gifts will provide grants to churches imagining bold, creative ways to engage beyond their walls and reach their neighbors with Christ’s love. Take an offering in your congregation and have your AC members bring your donation to Annual Conference for collection. Learn more.

Peace With Justice Sunday

United Methodist Churches traditionally observe Peace with Justice Sunday on the first Sunday after Pentecost. This year that occurs on June 15.

Peace with Justice Sunday is day to speak out for peace and justice. Our Social Principles call us to love our enemies, seek justice, and serve as peacemakers in resolving conflict. Contributions support programs that witness to God’s demands for a faithful, just, disarmed, and secure world. (50% of the donations stay within the NIC Conference and 50% support national and international peacemaking ministries and grants. Last year, over $160,000 was raised to support these vital ministries through the Peace with Justice offering. Learn more.

HOW TO GIVE: Write a check or donate online to your local church and note, “Peace with Justice Sunday”. Churches can give through the regular NIC Apportionment process.
