Oversized loads to impact nighttime weekend traffic
Nighttime closures on portions of Cornelius Pass Road are expected for the next three weekends, beginning Saturday (April 4), to accommodate transportation of large industrial loads to Intel’s campus in Hillsboro.

Cornelius Pass Road will be closed to traffic from 10 p.m. Saturday (April 4) to 5 a.m. Sunday (April 5) between Highway 30 (Multnomah County) and West Union Road (Washington County). Avoid the area. Traffic will be delayed significantly on other roads ( see map).

Similar traffic impacts are expected from April 10-12 and April 17-19. Updates will be provided in upcoming LUT News e-newsletters, wc-roads.com, Facebook and Twitter

ODOT survey asks drivers how they use I-205
Oregon Department of Transportation is conducting an online " Travel Preference Survey" asking travelers when, why and how often they use I-205 near the Abernethy Bridge.

The survey will also evaluate participants' willingness to pay a toll to save travel time. Results will be used to study the possible effects of tolling on I-205.

Those who complete the survey will be eligible for a $100 gift card. Take the survey
Oregon Transportation Commission online open house
The Oregon Transportation Commission (OTC) is asking the public to participate in an online open house on the Draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).

The Draft STIP is a list of projects that the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will start work on in 2021, pending approval of the final list from the OTC.

The online open house ends April 10.
ODOT is forming a 15-member Equity and Mobility Advisory Committee (EMAC) to advise on how tolling, combined with other strategies, can benefit historically underserved populations.

The EMAC will also support the development of an equity framework for I-5 and I-205 tolling projects and for other state tolling locations that may be evaluated in the future. The committee will advise both ODOT and OTC.

The committee will be comprised of up to five at-large positions filled through an application process; the remainder will be appointed. At-large members will represent communities of interest. These members will share information between the EMAC and the communities they represent.
