Expect delays, detours for construction on Cornelius Pass/Germantown/Old Cornelius Pass roads
Allow extra time for construction delays when traveling on Cornelius Pass, Germantown and Old Cornelius Pass roads, near the intersections.

Traffic may be detoured or held for as long as 10 minutes during the following times:

  • 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Cornelius Pass and Germantown roads

  • 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Old Cornelius Pass Road

The project will improve traffic flow at the intersection via a traffic signal at Cornelius Pass and Old Cornelius Pass roads. Travel will be limited on Germantown Road (Old Cornelius Pass Road), between Cornelius Pass and Old Cornelius Pass roads, to eastbound traffic only. Map

FY 2020-21 Draft Work Program
Public comment on the FY 2020-21 Long Range Planning Draft Work Program is being accepted by Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation Long Range Planning (LRP) staff through Feb. 28.

The work program identifies and ranks LRP staff's annual tasks including ordinances, projects and other transportation and community planning activities. Submit comments by Feb. 28 in one of the following ways:

  • Email: lutplan@co.washington.or.us. Include full name, street address, company/organization affiliation (if applicable) and other relevant contact information

  • Mail: Long Range Planning Section, Department of Land Use & Transportation, 155 N First Ave., Ste. 350 MS14, Hillsboro, OR 97124

  • In person: Public Services Building, 155 N First Ave., Third Floor, Ste. 350; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday

TriMet Pedestrian Plan
TriMet is seeking public comment through in-person and online open houses on its Pedestrian Plan to improve transit access for those walking, biking or rolling.

  • 5-7 p.m. Feb. 27: Washington Street Conference Center, 102 SW Washington St.

The Pedestrian Plan is focused on equity, safety and demand with input from local government agencies and community members. The plan will help cities and counties prioritize projects that promote safe, comfortable access to transit.
SW Corridor draft conceptual design
The Southwest Corridor Light Rail Project is seeking feedback through March 27 on a Draft Conceptual Design Report

The report highlights project principles, goals and objectives and illustrates preliminary design features of the 13 light rail stations and related improvements on the 11-mile route between Downtown Portland and Bridgeport Village in Tualatin.

Public comment will help identify challenges and guide ongoing design efforts in the coming years. Comments will also help inform a final report in mid-2020.

Project staff will host open house events for the public to provide feedback on the Conceptual Design Report:

  • Elwert Road, between the Kruger and Edy roads, through April 1, for construction of the Elwert/Kruger roundabout project. Detour map

  • 80th Avenue, between Colin Court and Taylors Ferry Road, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays through Feb. 28 (extended), for final work related to culvert replacement. Map
  • 175th Avenue, between Arbutus Drive and Pronghorn Lane, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays through April 3, for development-related road construction by Valley Pacific Construction. Map
  • 198th Avenue, between Farmington Road and Tualatin Valley Highway, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays intermittently through Dec. 31. Map

  • Kaiser Road, between Brugger Road and Ridgeline Street, intermittent daytime lane closures, through March 27 for construction related to development project. Map
  • Scholls Ferry Road, between Strobel Road and 175th Avenue, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. through March 6 (extended), for utility work by NEI. Map
  • Taylors Ferry Road, between 80th Avenue and Washington Drive, intermittent closures 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays through Feb. 28 (extended), for final work related to bridge replacement. Map
NOTE:   This information is provided here as a courtesy only.   Neighborhood meetings are required before developers submit certain land use applications to the County (for areas outside cities).These meetings provide a forum for the developer, affected CPO (Community Participation Organization) and nearby property owners to discuss the proposal informally. County staff do not schedule or attend these meetings.
