Portion of Cornelius Pass Road to be transferred to ODOT
Maintenance and ownership of Cornelius Pass Road, between US 30 and US 26, will be transferred from Washington and Multnomah counties to Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) effective Monday (March 1).

Cornelius Pass Road will be designated as Oregon 127 within the state’s highway system. Travelers will notice few changes. As a state highway, winter weather services, road improvements and maintenance (paving, striping, signs, traffic signals, etc.) will be under ODOT’s control.

ODOT will be responsible for any new construction projects in this area, except for the bridge replacement over Rock Creek, which will be completed by Washington County as part of the transfer agreement.

This jurisdictional transfer is part of the Keep Oregon Moving (HB 2017) transportation bill. Learn more about the transfer.

Cornelius Pass Road south of Highway 26 remains Washington County's jurisdiction.
