Comment on the Martin Road Project through April 11
Comment on the Martin Road Project at an online open house through April 11.

A roundabout will be built at the Highway 47 and Martin Road intersection to improve traffic flow and safety for passenger, farm and freight traffic between Highway 26 and Forest Grove. Widened shoulders will be in installed on Martin Road.

Two culverts under Martin Road will be replaced with a concrete bridge to provide better water flow.

The $8.3 million project is funded through the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3e) in partnership with the city of Forest Grove and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Applicants needed for NWACT 
Applicants are needed to fill two positions on the North West Area Commission on Transportation (NWACT).

Applicants must live in the western portion of Washington County, within Oregon Department of Transportation Region 2. See map

There are two open positions. According to NWACT bylaws, the Washington County Board of Commissioners appoints two community members to the commission, which meets virtually every other month. Learn about NWACT board member responsibilities.

NWACT is one of 12 Area Commissions on Transportation advisory groups chartered by the Oregon Transportation Commission to deal with regional and local transportation issues that involve the state transportation system.

Submit a name for Beaverton Public Safety Center plaza
Help the city of Beaverton name its new outdoor public plaza at the Beaverton Safety Center.

Submit ideas online or by calling 503-526-2543 by March 31. All suggestions are welcome and can include a Beaverton resident (deceased or living), tribal name honoring indigenous lands, etc. Please include a detailed explanation to provide context.

  • Laidlaw Road, between Torin Terrace and East Road through April 2 for a housing development project. Detour map
  • Rosedale Road, between between 209th and 229th avenues, through April 21 for Willamette Water Supply System South Hillsboro Pipeline Project. Flaggers may also be present near the 209th Avenue intersection between 9 a.m.-3 p.m., intermittently. Detour map
Lane closures
  • Augusta Lane, between Pheasant Lane and Chatelain Drive, Mondays-Thursdays 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m.-3 p.m., through Sept. 1, for sidewalk installation. Map
  • Evergreen Road, between Starr Boulevard and Dawson Creek Drive, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays through March 26 (extended) for sidewalk and utility work related to development. Work is also occurring between Starr Boulevard and 30th Avenue 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays for utility relocation through May 28 as part of a nearby development. Map

  • West Union Road, between 153rd Terrace and Bronson Creek Drive, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 pm. Friday through April 1 for sidewalk installation. Map
ADA ramp replacements
ADA ramp replacements have minimal impact on motor vehicle traffic; pedestrian paths will be maintained. Lane closures will be intermittent during weekday hours only. Ramps are in construction on portions of the following roads:
