Week of 5/18/20
Two online construction project kickoffs begin today
Construction kickoff events for the Butner Road Culvert replacement and the Johnson Street Sidewalk project start today (May 15) and continue through May 28.

The online construction kickoff events provide the public with an opportunity to learn more about the projects and to ask questions of staff and contractors. The kickoffs are replacing the usual "meet the contractor" events normally held in person just before construction projects begin. Both the Butner Road Culvert and Johnson Street Sidewalk projects start June 1.

The Butner Road Culvert project includes replacement of the culvert at Johnson Creek, improved fish passage, potential flood mitigation, sidewalks and waterline replacement. Learn more

The Johnson Street Sidewalk project, funded by the Urban Road Maintenance District, includes construction of 820 feet of five-foot-wide sidewalk, new stormwater pipe and ditch improvements on the south side of Johnson Street, between Jasmine Place and 178th Avenue. Learn more

In addition to the construction kickoffs, an online open house for Thompson Road improvements and an online open house for the Roy Rogers Road project - Borchers Drive to Chicken Creek, are open for public comment. The Thompson Road event ends May 17; the Roy Rogers Road event ends May 24.
