Walker Road online open house accepting comments through Dec. 13.
Comment on the Walker Road Phase 3 Project at an online open house through Dec. 13.

Walker Road will be widened to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane) with bike lanes and sidewalks between 173rd and 185th avenues. The project also includes:

  • Replacement of a culvert at Willow Creek
  • Removal of a dip in the road at the culvert
  • Installation of a traffic signal at the Walker Road and 178th Avenue/Cambray Street intersection
  • Installation of soundwalls
  • Improvements to drainage and street lighting

The $10.5 million project is funded through the County’s Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3e).

Ride Connection seeks comment on proposed expansions
Comment on Ride Connection’s proposed public transportation service expansions in western Washington County.

Ride Connection is partnering with Washington County to expand public transportation using Statewide Transportation Improvement Funds (STIF)/House Bill 2017.  Comment here

ADA ramp replacements
ADA ramp replacements have minimal impact on motor vehicle traffic; pedestrian paths will be maintained. Lane closures will be intermittent during weekday hours only. Ramps are in construction on portions of the following roads:

  • 143rd Avenue
  • 149th Avenue at Downing Court and Surrey Court
  • Barrington Terrace/Westminster Drive
  • Bethany Boulevard
  • Peachtree Drive at Beef Bend Road, Blue Spruce Court, Mapleview Lane, Willow Top Lane and Wrightwood Court
  • Quatama Street
  • Science Park Drive at Cornell Road and Murray Boulevard
  • West Union Road

NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS
Neighborhood meetings, required for many Washington County development applications, can be held online temporarily as per the new COVID-19 Virtual Neighborhood Meeting Supplement. The temporary supplemental policy is in effect for the duration of Gov. Kate Brown's "Stay Home. Save Lives" executive order.
