Council Update
Unofficial May 7 Election Results
During the May 7, 2022 election, Addison residents went to the polls to elect three council members. According to unofficial results, Mayor Pro Tempore Guillermo Quintanilla has been reelected. Darren Gardner and Eileen Resnik have both been elected to their first two-year term, replacing Paul Walden, who was unable to run again due to term limits, and Marlin Willesen, who chose not to run.

These totals are preliminary counts based on the unaudited voting results. The final, certified results will be formally canvassed at the City Council Meeting scheduled for May 16 at Town Hall, 5300 Belt Line Road. This meeting is dependent on receiving the canvassing results from Dallas County so it is subject to change. Meeting agendas can be found on the Town's website three days prior to the meeting.

Addison 2022 Street Maintenance Program Update
Winnwood Road Concrete Repairs:
The Town’s concrete contractor is moving from the intersection of Celestial Road at Montfort Drive and will be making various concrete repairs during the next two to three weeks on Winnwood Road. Winnwood Road will be down to one lane in some areas while repairs are being made.

Addison Road Maintenance:
Beginning the week of May 16, you can expect to see lane closures on Addison Road from Arapaho Road to the northern Town City Limit Line near Trinity Christian Academy. These lane closures are needed to conduct full-depth asphalt repairs on Addison Road. This project is jointly funded between Dallas County and the Town of Addison on a 50/50 basis. The lane closures will be continuous as the crews work their way down the roadways to remove pavement and then replace the pavement. This means the lane closures will span both day and nighttime hours.

If you have any questions about any of these maintenance projects please contact Shannon Hicks, Director of Public Works and Engineering Services, at 972-450-2871 or by email at [email protected].
Athletic Club Renovation Update
The biggest project currently underway during the Athletic Club renovation is the HVAC improvements. While most of this work is taking place behind the scenes, there are lots of improvements taking place that are visible. The new track flooring has been installed, along with the new railings. Once the HVAC work is complete, staff will work towards opening the basketball gym. Work continues on the locker rooms and the new family changing rooms and the new door to the outside pool area has been framed. Most of the tiling in the locker rooms has been completed and crews will be moving to the lobby area when HVAC crews have completed their work. Work is also continuing on the hot tub, as well as the wet and dry saunas.

You can find more project details at www.addisontexas.net/clubrenovations and register text updates by texting ClubReno to 888-777. Athletic Club staff also shares renovation pictures weekly on the Club's Facebook page.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work to improve our club.
