United to Thrive
Campaign Completed

Thanks to all who participated in our 2021 campaign. Special thanks to those groups that increased their pledges or set new records for their companies. Close to $240,000 was achieved this year, a signficant portion that will help us make our matching dollars happen with our Eli Lilly Grant.
Wave 2 Lilly Grant Dollars for Children's Mental Health and Covid Relief have completed
Over 100,000 in Lilly Wave 2 dollars were distributed during the past 6 months.
Recently awarded funds went to the following groups:
  • Knox County Library for assisting clients with homeless needs and other services through case management from the Samaritan Center. $10,000
  • Vincennes Food Pantry with supplemental hygiene and home supplies for Covid challenged families. $5,000.
  • YMCA adjusting services to pandemic clients and underserved youth and families $10,000
Homeless Task Force
The Knox County Homeless Task Force continues its efforts to increase coordination of local efforts through community collaboration, resource development, and access to care. Information access improving through the expanded use of Charity Tracker and Next quartlery meeting at 9:00 on Tuesday March 15th in the Helping His Hands meeting room on Willow St.
Several new organizations have joined the Charity Tracker network including the Samaritan Center and the Knox County Public Library.

Bedtime in
a Box
The Knox County Public library permitted UWKC to prominently. Boxes are distributed in the fall for kindergarten jumpstart youth and select 4 year olds at county daycare facilities.
VITA Free Tax Service Returns
You Still have time to get your taxes prepared by trained volunteers through our dropoff program at the Knox County public library.
Volunteers assist clients in the KCPL sun room. Volunteers will be on site again on February 26th from 10:00 - 12:30
Jasmine Zeller joins office

Jasmine Zeller of Vincennes, a BSW intern from the University of Southern Indiana Social work program will be working with staff, volunteers, and board members during the Spring 2022 semester.
Big Balloon Build gets visit from the director visiting from Wales.
Stuart Davies of the Big Balloon Build visits the location at Highland Woods for the Candy Land themed event in early April 2022. 55 balloon artists from around the world will be here to build the Candyland themed build and the site of the first ever balloon fashion show. The build will be April 4-7 with Ribbon cutting at 2:00 on the 7th. Fashion Show on Friday April 8th, Breakfast with Bunny on April 9th in the morning and public viewing on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

Familywize prescription service now known as Single Care. You can get on average 70% discounts on Rx and supplies by going to or downloading their App.
