Sunday Morning

Discovering the Holy Spirit
Do you remember the story of Pentecost? The Holy Spirit arrived with fire and people speaking in so many different languages that some onlookers thought they were drunk! It is an engaging story that shows us how we can experience the Holy Spirit today. Please join us this Sunday as we explore the story of Pentecost as told through Acts 2:1-21.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR SUMMER SCHEDULE OF ONE SERVICE AT 10:00 A.M. BEGINS SUNDAY, MAY 31ST

Events, Programs, & Announcements

Stop the Violence March is THIS SATURDAY
Join together with our brothers and sisters from Third Church for a March to End Gun Violence on Saturday, May 23rd, 3 to 6pm at the Hope Resource Center, 2298 Baltimore Avenue, 45255. March starts at 3:15. This “walking prayer” invites us to gather together in remembrance of all those we’ve lost to gun violence and pray for a solution to this ongoing crisis. In addition to the March, there will be speakers, music, raffle prizes, food and more. We are seeking volunteers to support this event!

Blue Together: A Service of Healing

Join us for an inter-generational evening of music, scripture, reflection, and prayer on May 27th. Our worship will transition outdoors for a communal indigo dyeing experience that symbolizes the continual work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, making us new again and again and again. Details

The Racial Justice Ministry Invites You to A Conversation with The Palestine Justice Network of the PCUSA this Sunday, May 31st @11:15am in the Knox Commons. PJN Steering Committee members Dr. Bob Ross and Yasmina Haddad are excited to join you to share about the work that the Palestine Justice Network of the PC(USA) has been doing over the past 20 years to encourage our denomination to be a prophetic voice in the struggle for a just peace for all who live in the Holy Land. Yasmina will be speaking about her family's ties to Palestine, as well as the wide variety of offerings the PJN has for our denominational partners, including teaching resources, events, and ways to support our siblings in Palestine. Bob will then discuss the long history of overtures that our denomination has passed in support of a just peace, and he will present important overtures that will be voted on in Milwaukee as part of our 227th General Assembly. We will then wrap up our time with a Q&A session, so please come with any questions you might have about the PJN and our work! *Lite bites will be provided!

Close Your Old Giving Account This Month!

If you still have a Vanco account set up for recurring tithes and offerings, that account needs to be closed, and your SubSplash Giving account needs to be set up. If the link sent out before doesn’t work for you, or if you are not sure if you have a Vanco account, please reach out to Mary Jo Schottelkotte, Director of Administration, Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm at 513-321-2573 ext. 115 or mschottelkotte@knox.org. Mary Jo will walk you through the process. We plan to turn Vanco off at the end of this month, but your transactions will NOT automatically cancel! Please act soon. If you have already cancelled the Vanco account and still need to set up your SubSplash account, please refer to the steps outlined in THIS LETTER from Adam.
