Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)
Starting today in Massachusetts, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) is available. PUA provides payment to workers not traditionally eligible for unemployment benefits (self-employed, independent contractors, workers with limited work history, and others) who are unable to work as a direct result of the coronavirus public health emergency. The benefit period is 39 weeks.

LISC Small Business Recovery Grant Program for Massachusetts
Also beginning today, The LISC Small Business Recovery Grant Program for Massachusetts will start accepting online applications for up to a $10,000 grant for small businesses in Massachusetts financially impacted by COVID-19 closures and social distancing measures.
 
To be eligible, your business must:
  • be a for-profit, small business with a Massachusetts address and location
  • have been in operation for a minimum of 2 years
  • have not exceeded $1.5M in 2019 revenue
