UPDATES FROM THE ACADEMICS AFFAIRS OFFICE
We are so excited to begin the course selection process with our students and their families. What an incredible time at Little Flower!

Ms. Radebaugh will meet with the students during their lunch periods the week of February 22. Our course catalog for 2021-2022 will be on our website on Monday, February 22, 2021. In addition, we invite parents, guardians, and students to attend our Course Selection Process Overview on Wednesday, February 24 from 6pm-7pm in the auditorium.

Please sign up through the following link
Access Code is 1000West
This meeting will also be lived stream through Facebook Live.

We are currently in the process of establishing an advisory role for the course selection process. The purpose of the advisory role is to develop another connection point with a student and staff members during a very difficult year. Indeed, it has been a difficult year and we are truly amazed everyday by the resilience and commitment of our community as we receive this gift of a Little Flower education. We asked several of our faculty and staff members to help advise our students as they review their former courses and plan for their future academic career.

Students will meet with an assigned advisor on March 4 and March 5.
Students who are virtual will also be part of this process as well.

More information will follow in a School Messenger.
Little Flower continues to make building upgrades which benefit our community!

The most recent upgrades include refillable water filtration stations (as pictured left), touchless faucets, soap dispensers, hand sanitizers, and toilets.

With covid regulations still in place, the health and safety of our student body necessitated these upgrades to be sure we are doing what we can as a school community to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.

Stop by and fill up those water bottles next time you're in school!

MOCK TRIAL
Congratulations to the Mock Trial team for advancing to the Sweet 16 of the competition! The team will compete again next Wednesday.

The following students were chosen for Best Attorney/Advocate:
Ines Monsalve (Round 1) and Jenny Le (Round 2)

and for Best Witness
Grace Krakauskas (Round 1) and Stephanie Alampi (Round 2)

Little Flower would also like to extend a special congratulations to our all-freshman expert duo, Allison Szychulski and Lilly Reagan!
Over the last four years in Mock Trial, I have had the opportunity to learn interesting facts about law, to be questioned as a witness, to question others as an attorney, and even visit courtrooms. These opportunities have allowed me to enjoy growth and immersion in a new topic, help others to grow as a leader of the club, and improve my confidence in my public speaking abilities. While I did not get to explore the Criminal Justice Center or City Hall this year, because Mock Trial was held entirely on Zoom, it was still a fruitful experience. Participating over Zoom has also allowed me to expand my communication skills and form relationships with the rest of the lovely and brilliant team members, experiencing something new, innovative, and exciting all the while. With absolute certainty, I can say that the community I have joined and immersed myself in, as well as the skills I have learned in Mock Trial, are something I will forever be proud of.
