Welcome Back!
With the hope that everyone enjoyed a fun and relaxing summer, we are looking forward to seeing all at the September Kickoff. Guests are welcomed. Box lunches and water are being provided.

Thank you to all who have RSVPd for the kick-off. If you have not responded, please do so now. If you can't remember (!) please re-confirm your choice.

As we are purchasing individual box lunches, this will help us plan. And, it will help us know how many places to set. We will include a couple of tables outdoors.

Parking
We are anticipating a heavy turnout. Parking on Harvard is often challenging.

Please consider riding with one of your friends or using a ride share service such as Uber or Lyft. Of course there is always the option of parking a few blocks away and getting in your daily exercise!

We will set out bollards in front of the Clubhouse to keep the space clear for dropping off members.

Masks are Mandatory
Following a discussion with the Heritage Group Board, we ask that all attendees wear masks. This reflects current CDC Guidelines for indoor events.

Each individual will need to make her own risk assessment and decide to attend or not, as well as monitor her own health safety behaviors. Please stay at home if you are not feeling well. We will miss you. Your health is most important.
Seeking Creative Table Hostesses
This is an easy way to dip your toe into volunteering and let your imagination flow selecting a monthly décor theme while meeting other members in a small group setting.

Alternatively, a 2021-2022 sign-up sheet will be available at the Kick-off meeting on September 1. Please contact Linda Navarro with any questions.

Over the Summer
Over the summer Heritage Group members were active, first with daily rain, then tremendous heat. Just another Houston summer then! Some were lucky enough to be out of town traveling for a good part of that.

Our Community Garden Volunteers braved the heat and contributed by maintaining local school gardens.
As a group we collected $653 toward the Annual School Uniform drive. Some members also contributed by donating gently used children's school uniforms. We have a group of kind and generous members.
We had a nice afternoon attending the Vendor Market sponsored by the Evening Group and supporting women owned businesses. Many members picked up HHWC Clubhouse note cards. Notecards will be available at the September Kickoff. Sale of the cards goes toward Clubhouse maintenance.
