Welcome Back!
With the hope that everyone enjoyed a fun and relaxing summer, we are looking forward to seeing all at the September Kickoff. Guests are welcomed. Box lunches and water are being provided.

Thank you to all who have RSVPd for the kick-off. If you have not responded, please do so now. If you can't remember (!) please re-confirm your choice.

As we are purchasing individual box lunches, we need an exact count. This will also help us know how many tables and place settings will be needed.

Masks are optional. Each individual will need to make her own risk assessment. Please stay at home if you are not feeling well. We will miss you. Your health is most important.

Parking
We are anticipating a heavy turnout. Parking on Harvard is often challenging.

Please consider riding with one of your friends or using a ride share service such as Uber or Lyft. Of course there is always the option of parking a few blocks away and getting in your daily exercise!

We will set out bollards in front of the Clubhouse to keep the space clear for dropping off members.
On Sale at the Meeting
HHWC Note Cards
Notecard packets featuring artwork donated to the club by local artist Anne Reese Hernandez will be available. $20 for 8 cards. Sales benefit clubhouse maintenance.
HHWC T-Shirts
For newer members (and members who might need a new shirt), we will have HHWC T-Shirts available for $10. Cash or check only. We often wear our T-Shirts at community events.
Sadly, we have learned of the passing of Armando Cardona, Josie Cardona's husband. Josie and her family will be in our thoughts and prayers as they mourn.  Here is a link to the obituary and details about the service.

Over the Summer
Over the summer, Heritage Group members were active, first with tremendous heat and then some rain. Just another Houston summer then! Some were lucky enough to be out of town traveling for a good part of that.

Those who stayed in town attended a mid-summer Heritage Group gathering at Bungalow Heights. Thank-you to Barbara Roberts and Rebecca Marek for organizing and promoting this enjoyable luncheon rendezvous. And many thanks to our very attentive waitress and servers!
As a group we collected money toward the Annual School Uniform drive. Some members also contributed by donating gently used children's school uniforms. We have a group of kind and generous members.
We had a nice afternoon attending the August 27 Vendor Market sponsored by the Evening Group and supporting women owned businesses.
