| | FROM YOUR PASTOR'S HEART ... ALL SAINTS SUNDAY | | |
Sunday, we remember members of our congregation who have gone to be with the LORD during the past year. They are not saints because they were sinless. They are saints because Jesus, our Great High Priest, sacrificed His life for them. He presented, not the blood of goats and rams, but His own blood on the altar in the heavenly temple. Those who receive, in faith, His sacrifice on their behalf, obtain forgiveness, cleansing from sin, and the gift of eternal life.
| | |
They are made holy by their faith in what Jesus has done for them. That makes all of us who have put our full trust in the work of the cross, His holy ones, His saints. He is a High Priest who goes before the Father on our behalf and represents our needs. Because we have such a Great High Priest who sympathizes and understands our weaknesses, we can come before His throne boldly to receive the mercy and grace we need (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us remember this Sunday our friends and loved ones who have gone to be with the LORD. And let us also consider and worship our Great High Priest, Jesus Christ the Righteous One. This Sunday’s passage, Hebrews 5:1-10, is one of the great high points of the book. Let us come and celebrate our Great High Priest this Sunday!
Wes
P.S. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour. Daylight Savings ends this weekend! But if you forget, you can always join us early for prayer 😊

Better High Priest
This Sunday, we will continue our journey through the book of Hebrews, in chapter 5:1-10. This passage shows us that Jesus is our great High Priest who understands our struggles and represents us before God. Earthly priests offered sacrifices for sin, but Jesus offered Himself once for all. He was chosen by God, just like Aaron, but far greater because He was without sin. Even though He was God’s Son, Jesus learned obedience through suffering. Because of this, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who put their faith and trust in Him. We can come to Jesus with confidence, knowing He understands our pain, listens with compassion, and offers us grace to keep following God faithfully. I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday morning. May we praise King Jesus as our great High Priest who did for us what we could never do for ourselves. Above all else, may Jesus be glorified and lifted high.

Share What God is Doing!
As most you know, we are coming to the end of our 40 Days of prayer and fasting. Or are we? Perhaps God has drawn you into something that you may continue. Perhaps God has shown you something in this season that you will continue to seek in the days, weeks, and months to come. Perhaps you have new rhythms that God wants you to continue to keep in your daily life. Perhaps you learned a little bit more about fasting and the ability to deny oneself so that you can hear God more clearly. Or perhaps you just had a greater sense of knowing the presence of God in this season and you want to continue.
Whatever it might be, we want to conclude our 40 days in prayer and fasting with a moment of celebration. This will be a short time for us to come together and share what God has been doing and orchestrating throughout this season. Maybe God has not yet revealed everything to you...it's okay! Come and hear what God is doing and celebrate with the family of God. He is moving! We invite you to bring your voice and a very short testimony as we worship and share what God has been and is doing!
We want to invite adults to join us next Wednesday for Bible Study in the New Room, November 5th at 6:00 pm followed by a short time of praise and testimony. Children’s Timothy Team and youth will stay with their classes. We will still conclude by 7:15pm.
Let's all come together and hear what God has been saying and doing and to give Him all the glory!!

We’re looking for caring individuals who can help with a variety of roles—such as greeting, hospitality, setup/cleanup, small group support, prayer, or simply being a friendly face to those taking their first step toward recovery.
If you have a heart for helping others and want to be part of a life-changing ministry, we invite you to get involved!
To learn more or sign up, contact Bobby Boyakin at 479-474-6424 or bboyakin@heritage.church.

Support the Guatemala Trip
In January we are headed back to Guatemala. We’re raising $2,800 to build a much-needed room that will serve as a safe space for families and ministry work in the local community. In addition, we’re collecting funds for essential medical supplies to care for those with limited access to healthcare.
Every gift—big or small—helps us bring hope, healing, and the love of Christ to those in need.
If you’d like to give, please mark your donation “Guatemala Build or Medical Supplies” or give online.
These trips are always so impactful, I look forward to partnering with you in this journey to Guatemala.
