| | FROM YOUR PASTOR'S HEART... WELCOMING BACK PASTOR BRETT WILEY | | |
We are excited to welcome Heritage’s own Brett Wiley back to our pulpit this Sunday. Brett is the son of Dorvan and Mikie Wiley and grew up at Heritage and served as a youth intern here. He is now, the lead pastor of City Life Church in downtown Wichita, Kansas, where he has lived since 2015. Brett has been married to his wife, Emily, for 13 years. Together they have a 9 year old daughter named Sutton, and a 6 year old (7 on Sunday!) son named Turner. He received his Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. As a graduate from the University of Arkansas, Brett is a forever Razorback despite his sojourn in Kansas.

Dorvan and Mikie Wiley, have been members of Heritage for 42 years. Dorvan is currently serving on the Heritage Leadership Team as our chair of finance. This evening, Thursday, October 1, he will be inducted into the Van Buren High School Hall of Honor. We are so proud of you, Dorvan!
HOLY LAND TOUR INTEREST
Some people have asked about us leading another trip to the Holy Land. I am looking into that. I need to know if you are seriously interested in going. If we have less than 20, we will need to team up with another group, either Dr. Tom Harrison from Asbury Church in Tulsa or Dr. David Daniel from Ardmore. The cost will be around $7,777. I have toured with this organization, “On Eagle’s Wings,” before and the accommodations and tour guides are exceptional. The dates would be mid June.
If we have 20 or more, we can do it for around $5,700 with Go Mega Travel. The dates for Go Mega would also be mid-June. There is also a possibility of going to Israel with Pastor Zach Anderson in June 2028. Please email Rebekah Hutton and me to let me know your interest: rhutton@heritage.church, whilliard@heritage.church. Or call me.
See you Sunday!
Wes

October Ride will be the First Saturday
October 3, at 9:00 am
We will be riding to Cane Hill and taking in the Museum (if they are open) and then on to the Ol Cabin east of Devils Den State Park next to I-49. This is a burger and sandwich shop, with some indoor seating as well as some picnic tables outside. This is a new eating joint for me so do not know much about them as of now. Look for the Google Map in the Resources tab in Heritage Riders page on Church Center

Sunday Sisters: NEW Book of Colossians study!
Begins Sunday, October 4 from 5:45 to 7:15 pm in Room 134
Feeling the pull of cultural noise and distractions in everyday life? Our women's growth group, Sunday Sisters, is diving into a 13-session study on the Book of Colossians. Together, we'll explore the centrality of Christ, uncover what it truly means to anchor our identity in Him, and learn practical ways to stand firm and navigate life successfully amid the chaos of the world. Whether you've been studying the Bible for years or are looking to connect and grow with others, we'd love to have you join us! Check us out on Church Center.
Reach out to Shannon Newerth-Henson or a member of the Sunday Sisters growth group for more details.
