FROM YOUR PASTOR'S HEART ... FOCUS ON JESUS!

Lord, have mercy upon us! We are living in a day of social media algorithms that can cause addiction, deception and depression. Lord, please deliver us from social media long enough to do business with Your Son through Your WORD in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Is there anything that is stealing your peace or causing you to doubt? I urge you to step back, turn off the noise, and enter into His Presence. Turn off the toxic media. Turn to Jesus. He is our only hope.

Do not disparage nor forsake the CHURCH of Jesus Christ for which He died. We are His Bride! We will stand for Him until He returns for us. We will meet Him in the sky (Revelation 19).

I, personally, declare today, “I will stand for JESUS and HIS CHURCH, no matter what until He takes me home!”

Come to Jesus today as you meditate upon His Last Supper/Passover and arrest. The Heritage sanctuary is prepared and open until 8:00 pm for personal, family, small group worship, meditation, and communion. Jesus is waiting for you to unplug from the world and meet with Him.

Good Friday we will have a Tenebrae Service at 6:00 pm. We will worship Jesus and remember the events of His betrayal, trials, crucifixion, and burial.

Sunday, we will have three celebrations of His resurrection at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am. The services are identical. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. Arrows International Dance Company is bringing their best and most ambitious presentations ever! Don’t miss it! Our theme for the morning is Nothing is Impossible! Jesus’ resurrection proves it. Will you let Him raise you this year?

Steadfastly,

Wes

Upcoming Opportunities and Announcements

Tomorrow, April 3 is Good Friday. Our Tenebrae service will begin at 6:00 pm. Tenebrae (Latin for "darkness" or "shadows") symbolizes moving from light to darkness as we remember the events leading up to the crucifixion of Christ. As we read the Gospel accounts of those agonizing hours, we will extinguish the candles until the church is left in darkness. We'll leave in silence as we meditate on the events of Good Friday and what He's done for us.

I hope to see you there!

Pinecrest Putt Putt Project - Opportunity to Give

We are inviting all men to join us on April 17-18 for a work retreat at Pinecrest Camp in Ozone, AR. We will primarily set up camp, eat, fellowship, and worship Friday night. Saturday will be a full workday. We will tent it outside or you can simply sleep under the stars. Full bathroom facilities will be available (more details to come!).

Heritage Church has been tremendously blessed to have called Pinecrest Camp home to our children's camp for well over a decade. Their facilities have always provided what we need and their staff is second to none! We would like to bless Pinecrest with a work project by repairing their carpet runs on their putt putt course. We have three major needs: 1) Our goal is to raise at least $4,000 to go towards materials for this project. 2) We need men who are able to help make these repairs happen. 3) We need your prayers...none of this is possible without them.

If you are interested in giving towards this project please designate Pinecrest, or if you're interested in being involved, please contact Brian Seewald at bseewald@heritage.church or at 479-474-6424.

Offerings from Maundy Thursday and Good Friday will go toward this project.
